The Senior Investment Analyst will work directly with clients as an expert private equity consultant. S/he will be expected to advise on all aspects of the investment process, perform transaction due diligence and produce associated documentation, such as term sheets, financial models, investment memos and portfolio company reviews. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Screen new investment opportunities
  • Structure investments and negotiate term sheets
  • Perform onsite and offsite transaction due diligence
  • Source and manage third-party due diligence service providers
  • Work closely with clients and their counsel to help draft legal documentation
  • Prepare financial and valuation models
  • Prepare investment memos
  • Prepare portfolio company reviews and valuation reports
  • Present at client investment committee meetings
  • Participate in portfolio company management and board meetings
  • Update LPs and other client stakeholders about investment performance
  • Manage client relationships as Random Rock’s primary point of contact in the field


We are seeking experienced investment professionals with a track record of successfully leading private equity transactions. Qualified candidates must have:

  • 5+ years of direct investing experience as a private equity analyst
  • Comprehensive understanding of the private equity investment process
  • General knowledge of the broader alternative investment industry
  • Proficiency in both senior (e.g. transaction structuring) and junior (e.g. financial modeling) analyst functions
  • Sound judgement as an investor
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and quantitative skills
  • Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team
  • Undergraduate degree from a four-year college or university


  • The role will initially be project-based
  • We are open to candidates who prefer to work remotely and/or part-time
  • Some travel may be required
